Back from Nashville
We are back from the meeting with our surgeon in Nashville. We met with one of the top doctors in the nation who specializes in this type of surgery. The problem is the earliest they can schedule the operation is February 10th. That is 2 weeks away from Brittany’s due date. The good news is the surgeon thinks that I will bounce back from this a little quicker than we first thought. He said because I was so thin and in relatively good shape that surgery should be a little easier and the hospital stay should only be one week. If everything goes as planned I could be moving around within a month after surgery. They do have me on a waiting list so if there is a cancellation I will be called and we will head to Nashville. I continue to pray that I can be in the delivery room for Brit. It looks like if the date remains February 10th it will be very close. We remain strong because we know who’s in control. God is carrying us through this and we rest comfortably in Him. Looking forward to joining you for the ride to work and school tomorrow morning!

"Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me. You will stretch out your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and your right hand will save me. Hi, Jason!!
ReplyDeleteI have been so humbled by your faith and confidence in our Lord Jesus Christ in the midst of all that is going on in your life. He has already begun a great work through this season in your life.
I slipped my son a Scripture verse on a index card the other morning before school. He is 9 and has been experiencing some anxiety lately. He said he pulled it out a few times during the school day and was able to relax and get through the day. I hope that it will bring you comfort as well.
Isaiah 41:10
Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. I will help you. I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.
Thank you for your ministry at J103. You and your family are in our prayers.

Hi Jason,
ReplyDeleteYour Aunt Eva in Florida is a dear friend of mine. I have been following your blog and am humbled by your courage. You have a beautiful wife and child on the way! I am praying for you, Brit and Cooper (love the name...was my maiden name) We serve an amazing God and we can have peace in the fact that He is in control even when our worlds spin out of control. I believe that God has great things in store for you as you come through this trial! In His Love, Terri (TerrBear) from Florida
James 4:8 Draw close to GOD and HE will DRAW close to you. Jason I believe in JESUS NAME you are healed. When you GO to the DOCTOR in TWO WEEKS you will be REASSURED BY THE physician that the TUMOR is GONE. GOD IS THE TRUE PHYSCIAN.
ReplyDeleteSeveral years ago, my grandfather went in for prostate surgery because of cancer. We had special prayer at church for him that Sunday. The doctor came out after surgery and said,"I don't know what happened but the cancer is gone". As a small child, I'll never forget those words. In your case, I am believing the same to happen to you. God says He will NEVER leave us or forsake us. Just remember, He will "carry" you through. God has blessed and will continue to bless you, your family, and your ministry.
